Spring Break 2019 was one for the books! I will never forget this past week and all the memories I now have with my family! Not only did I go to the Cayman Islands for the first time, but I also celebrated my 21st birthday. I left for my trip the day after my birthday so it was the perfect way to spend the second half of my break. One of the best things about this trip is that I got to relax and go explore the island over the course of 4 days. 4 days was the perfect amount of time for this trip! I did a terrible job of taking pictures most places I went but I'm still sharing where we went and what we did each day!!
Day 1 || March 7th
We spent our first day in the Caymans relaxing by the beach and enjoying this stunning view pictured above^^ !! I of course took advantage of the eternity pool photo op... couldn't pass that up! We went to dinner later that night at a superrr good restaurant called the sunshine house where we hung-out, played corn hole, and I had my first legal drink with my parents! Side note- every time I ordered a drink there, they did a double take at me cause they thought I wasn't even 18 years old (which is their legal drinking age). So I have that to look forward to here at home(:
Day 2 || March 8th
We got to go and swim with the dolphins on our second day! This was such a great experience because we learned so much about the dolphins and got to see everything they could do... and trust me, they are talented! I was a little freaked out at first by our guy but he ended up being the sweetest! I can now say that I've kissed and danced with a dolphin!

Day 3|| March 9th
We decided to spend our third day exploring and asking around about the best places to eat and hangout at. One of the locals mentioned a restaurant that was also a grocery store inside the Camana Bay area which was called Bay Market. We had no idea what this was but we figured it was the perfect chance to explore the island more. We started walking through Camana Bay and it was nothing like I had seen before. It was a higher end area with lots of fancy shops and restaurants all around. It felt like it's own little town. It seemed like an area where many locals lived since it wasn't directly on the beach and was to itself. While we were walking, we stumbled across a building that I fell in love with. It made me wish we had more colorful and detailed buildings here in America! Here's a picture of it below along with some a photo of where we first walked into Camana Bay.
Day 4|| March 10th
This was our last full day, and gosh did we save the best for last!! We went on a boat ride that took us to three AMAZING and SPECIAL places that I will absolutely never forget. Let me start by saying, I'm not the most comfortable when it comes to the ocean and fish but this trip pushed me past my limits in a good way. One major plus about the Grand Cayman, is that the water is so blue and clear. It is beautiful and nothing I had seen before. This helped me feel so much better when it came to everything we did on day 4. So starting off they took us to Starfish Cove where we got to see real starfish of all sizes. Again, this trip really pushed me past my comfort zone since I'm normally afraid to touch anything in water like that. But this was something I knew I would regret if I didn't try, so I took advantage of the opportunity and found some starfish. Sadly I don't have any pictures from this since we were in the water and if we pulled a starfish out of the water, we would have been fined $150,000 sooo I wasn't going to risk it!:/
After this we rode over to Rum Point where we got to explore some more, grab some drinks, and souvenir shop. This was one of my favorite places we went because of how unique and fun the atmosphere was. It felt so tropical! I would have loved to spend more time here if we could have but we had to move on to our next stop pretty quickly. The next and final stop for the day was at Stingray City. Now this is what I was DREADING even though I knew it would be a once in a lifetime experience. Stingray City is where you ride out to and swim in the water with stingrays...yep you read it right...STINGRAYS! I couldn't comprehend how that could be safe at all until our tour guides explained they are the nicest stingrays and only sting when they feel in danger. At first I was hesitant to get in the water since they swarm around people when they think they're being fed, but then my family convinced me. I got in the water and swam with the stingrays. Yes my heart was racing so fast and yes I am so glad I did it. I of course in the moment forgot to take pictures AGAIN but believe me when I say I will never forget those moments we shared that day. Definitely the best day of any vacation I've ever been on.
